3. The climate is vertical: the temperature depends on the altitude. In three hours you can go from the capital city with an average temperature of 15c down to the Magdalena river where temperatures exceed 30c. Continue your journey for another 2 hours and you can be back in a cold climate.

10. Caña Flecha fibre, unique to Colombia, is used by the artisans of Tuchin, Cordoba to make the famous "sombrero vueltiao" (turned hat), one of Colombia’s national symbols.
