Mompox – The colonial town of Mompox, founded in 1540, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous for it´s gold and silver filigree work which dates back to colonial times when the Spanish stored gold in Mompox,  Spanish craftsmen made jewelry using the techniques they had learnt from the Arabs centuries earlier and these are the techniques handed down to the skilled craftsmen of Kena.

Medellin, Antioquia is home to one of the world´s most famous flower festivals so it is not surprising that Llenadegracia uses natural flowers as the basic raw material in their handmade costume jewelry and it is these that make their product so different and so special. The flowers are combined with seeds, resins, stainless Steel and sterling silver to produce a unique range of products in innumerable designs and exuberant colours.

Mochilas Wayuu

The Wayuu are an indigenous people living in the Guajira peninsular. They were famous for the fact that they were never completely subjugated by the Spanish conquerors. Now they are now well known internationally for the beauty and colour of their crochet bags, which take up to 20 days to make and incorporate patterns which express the world view of the Wayuu communities.

El Telar - Woven sisal

San Gil, Colombia is famous for its century’s old tradition in weaving the “fique” fiber.

El Telar is a local artisan workshop whose primary objective is to provide a sustainable source of income for the single mothers, who weave their products, and to this end the workshop also provides training and technical assistance to them.
